One the best restaurants in Turunc has to be Körfez. It has a great location on the sea front next to the Tea Garden.  Try the speciality Ottoman Basket or have any of varied selection of steak dishes, always cooked to perfection. Staff are pleasant without being pushy. This place is always busy so book to ensure a table.

The Arcade
The Arcade serves excellent Turkish food and the meze (hot and cold appetizers) are a good way to introduce yourself to traditional Turkish cuisine. The Arcade is also known for its variety of seafood. Prices are very reasonable and a good value family meal can be had here.  Recently moved just back off the main street.

Just opened in 2008 this restaurant has excellent food at very reasonable prices. Serves both local and european dishes. Try the chicken casserole - one of the best I have had in Turkey. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to accomodate.

Located on the beachfront. This new restaurant opened in May 2009 and provides traditional Turkish cuisine along with other European dishes at reasonable prices. Children's play area with swıngs/slide and a chidren's menu are available.

Situated on the seafront this restaurant offers excellent turkish cuisine and other european dishes. Try the traditional lamb dish - you will not be disappointed. Superb views and friendly staff.

Overlooking the harbour from a height - a meal here means that you will be able to look back over Turunç bay with the mountains rising in the background. There are quite a few steps to get to the restaurant but it is worth the effort for the view alone - can be breezy though. The menu is one of the more modern in Turunç has more European dishes than most of the other local restaurants offer.

Pisces offers a mainly seafood based menu but many other dishes are also available. The quality of the food is high and this is reflected in the slightly higher prices. The décor is amongst the best in the village and offers modern, attractive surroundings to relax in and enjoy a good meal.
Vıllage Bar
This small bar with bıg atmosphere is situated on the main street opposite Pisces Restaurant. A frıendly welcome from Murat and Cathy is always assured. Light snacks, hamburgers and 'Specials' available at very reasonable cost. Call in, you will not be dısappointed.

Irrespective of where you decide to eat the standard of food served will be second to none. The restaurants listed above are only a few of the many restaurants available, if holidaying for two weeks you will be able to eat at a different restaurant each evening and still miss quite a few.

In Turkey the selection of food and drinks is a passion, with many Turks preferring to dine al-fresco during the summer period especially. When in Turkey you should make a point of sampling the native cuisine - Turkish cooking could be classed the second largest in the great schools of cooking after the Chinese. The names of certain dishes; Kebabs, yoghurt, pilav, baklava and sherbet are all orginally from Turkey.

During high season, the main street in Turunç is closed to traffic during the evenings. This turns it into a pedestrianised walkway and makes it much safer for everyone to wander around. Most of the local children play out in this street in the summer evenings. Locals walk up and down and tourists can enjoy an old fashioned style "promenade" and browse in the gift shops and markets. This also gives you the opportunity to cast your eye over the restaurants and see which takes your fancy.
